Summer Term 2020 - School Closure

During the school closure in the Summer term of 2020 Fairfield pupils were provided with Independent Learning Booklets to guide them in completing their learning at home. The booklets contain a summary of the work that each subject is providing the girls through Microsoft Teams and MathsWatch. Below is the latest version of the Independent Learning Booklets (version 6) with three weeks of work covering Monday 29th June to Friday 17th July. Please be aware of deadlines for pupils to submit their work to teachers, either by e-mail or through Microsoft Teams, to help track their progress and to provide feedback.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is a collaborative workspace for sharing files, information and messages and subjects have uploaded a wide variety of resources and tasks for the girls to access. Click here for a user guide explaining how pupils can use Microsoft Teams. Please note that Maths learning is being provided through the online Maths platform MathsWatch, which all Fairfield pupils have logins for.

Fairfield High School for Girls understands the challenges facing girls and families in completing their learning at home and we are here to help you when needed. The independent learning booklets contain guidance on the amount of work to be completed but as a family you can decide on the amount of work to complete each day that is suitable for your circumstances. Please contact school by phone or e-mail if you need to discuss any aspect of your daughter's learning at home. If any pupils needs specific help with their learning tasks they can e-mail their teacher or use the 'Chat' function in Microsoft Teams. During the school day there is always a member of the Senior Leadership Team in school if you need to make contact by telephone.

Year 11

Year 11 pupils should visit the Preparing for College page for study packs, links to websites and resources to help prepare them for college. Fairfield staff have also produced a booklet 'Preparing for College' to support our Year 11 girls for September. Students can also visit the 'Careers Guidance at Home' page for further advice and support.
