Learning at Home

Welcome to the new 'Learning at Home' page of the school website. This page has been created to support the girls complete their independent learning during the school closure. The girls have been provided with Independent Learning Booklets, which contain a variety of tasks for all of their subjects. Digital copies of the booklets can be found below in the Independent Learning Booklets section, if you did not receive a printed version. After the Easter holidays new booklets will be published every fortnight - the next edition will be uploaded to this page on Monday 27th April.  As a family you can decide on the work to complete each day that is suitable for your circumstances. Further guidance, messages, tasks and documents from subject teachers may be available through Microsoft Teams which pupils can access through their Office 365 login and through their school e-mail account. If any pupil needs help with their work they can e-mail their teacher - please be aware that over the coming weeks there may be times when classroom teachers cannot respond to e-mails. There is a user guide below explaining how pupils can access Microsoft Teams and their school e-mail.

Beyond the Curriculum

This section will be kept up-to-date with ideas for pupils to go beyond the curriculum if they have completed the work set by their teachers. Around the world there has been an incredible sharing of educational resources for children to access at home. The best of this global effort to support learning at home has been collated in 'Recommended Websites' and 'The Best of Twitter'. This section will be updated regularly with new recommendations. If Year 7 and Year 8 pupils have completed their curriculum work and are looking for a further challenge they can complete activities in the KS3 Independent Reading Project and the KS3 Curriculum Challenge. The document 'A-Level Reading' is specifically for Year 11 pupils who want to complete some independent reading in preparation for college.
